Z-06-ARQUITECTURA - PROYECTO de MEZQUITA en DUBAI U.A.E.
MOSQUE of a SINGULAR PROJECT
DUBAI U.A.E.
Like any new experience, the design of a building of such a symbolic importance, provided us with the opportunity to develop to the maximum our capacity and enthusiasm in the design, waiting to obtain total satisfaction.
This design was an effort to remain
true to the basic architectural concepts of Arabic architecture as drawn from
the aesthetic, technological and functional experience of the Arab culture in
the Mediterranean and specifically in Spain and from Cadiz to Istanbul, even the Cordoba Mosque in Spain was mostly our inspiration.

The creation of fresh, shaded
exterior environments such as covered accesses and patios serve as transitional
spaces between the warm exterior and the cooler interior. Vegetation and
fountains collaborate in the cooler final filing both physically and
psychologically.
The creation of a transitional space between the outside and the inside was sought as an element of freshness and shade. It was our intention to create a
building which respects all the traditional elements of the Muslim Religion, with librarian and muslim school. As
with all new experiences, designing a building of such profound symbolic
importance has provided a challenge which we carry out with the full extent of
our capabilities and enthusiasm hoping that the result of our efforts was of
full satisfaction, as it was.
To our dismay, the set did not develop, did not come to contemplate all the ideas that should frame the environment of the building, its night lighting, parking, gardening, etc., which would have sought a reinterpretation and adaptation to another environment and another climate, of the concepts that surround the Temple of the Sagrada Familia of Barcelona work as it is known of the great Mater Teacher Gaudi.
